Tommy John Ehman

Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Tommy is faithful to his rural roots in his music and in his life. He raised his family, with his wife Tallie, on their fifth-generation farm at Craik in a “catalogue” house built by his great grandpa more than 100 years ago. His son Evan has now taken over the farming operation and continues the family tradition on the land. 

Tommy has a degenerative eye condition called Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP for short), which forced him to take a step back from day-to-day farming, but didn’t deter him from writing songs, performing live and pursuing his musical passion with the same commitment and drive as in his younger days, when he toured Western Canada with his bands Midnight Highway and Idle Rains. With six studio albums and a handful of single recordings to his credit, Tommy has had multiple radio singles that cracked the top 100 country music charts, several Saskatchewan Country Music Award nominations, a long, long list of live performances that include opening for Doc Walker and Michelle Wright, among others, and eight years as a full-time touring musician.

Add it all up; the years, the songs, the shows and the miles and you have a singer-songwriter who has a passionate, intense and blazing hunger to write, record and perform his music, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that!
